Hello Melissa! Thanks for stopping by. Congrats on starting a new healthy lifestyle – best decision you can make 🙂 What made a huge difference for me was I began counting calories using My Fitness Pal (a free online tool that you can also use on your phone). It may seem tedious for some people but it was the only thing that worked for me. This was the only way of truly knowing what I was eating vs how many calories I was burning through exercise. I lost the weight gradually and safely (not more than 1-1.5 lbs a week) and have kept it off for over a year now. It truly is a lifestyle change!! Under the section “Exercises” in my menu bar you will see a series of workouts that I am currently doing. I workout 6 days a week and fit in 15 or minutes of cardio a day but at this time I’m more focused on weight training. In the beginning I did more cardio until I got to my desired weight.
As for my daily meals, I eat 6 times a day. Here is an idea of what my meals consist of: http://thehappyhealthfreak.com/2013/04/05/a-day-in-the-life-of-a-health-freak/. I have just recently begun eating less meat so more of my recipes lately might be more vegetarian.
Let me know if you have any other question! I’ll be sure to stop by your blog 🙂
      Take care,

I just found your blog the other day and have been reading all your old post. I love all your recipes and cant wait to try them! I’m the opposite of you, I love running but hating lifting. I’m going to give your workout plan a try for a month and see if I can stay with. I will tell you the more you run the more you will learn to love it.!! Races are the best way to stay motivated and you also get to meet a lot of other people who love running! I’m still in college and it makes being active and eating healthy is hard, but some of your tips and workout ideas will make it easier this year. I just wanted to sat I lover you blog! Keep up the good work!!

About the recipe for Chocolate PB Protein Power Balls, I was wondering for “1/2 cup PB2” if you meant the powdered form only…
