Turmeric Curry Turkey Burgers

Summer’s not over yet! Grab your spices and fire up the grill, you’re going to love these flavourful Turmeric Curry Turkey Burgers.

I know fall is officially here but that doesn’t mean you need to put away that grill! The H and I love using our BBQ well into winter (hey, we’re Canadian, a little snow won’t not stop us).

I normally keep my burgers quite simple, a little S&P, maybe some garlic and that’s about it.  Well no more, these burgers are literally bursting with flavour!  The Indian flare is a nice change to boring ‘ol burgers and the yogurt sauce adds a nice cool balance.

If you want to amp up the fats, serve it with half an avocado and a salad drizzled with olive oil dressing.

Pro Tip: If you’re using turmeric for the first time, be sure to wear gloves.  It will stain your hands and anything it touches yellow…you’ve been warned!

Turmeric Curry Turkey Burgers

Turmeric Curry Turkey Burgers
Serves 4
Write a review
  1. 1 lb ground turkey
  2. 1 tsp ground curry
  3. ½ tsp turmeric
  4. ½ tsp garam masala
  5. ½ tsp ginger
  6. 1 clove garlic, minced
  7. S&P
For the Yogurt Sauce
  1. ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
  2. ½ tsp garlic powder
  3. ½ tsp curry powder
  1. Preheat BBQ or grill to med-high heat.
  2. Add ground turkey and spices to a mixing bowl. Mix well.
  3. Shape into 4 patties.
  4. Grill for 4-5 minutes a side, flipping once.
  5. For the sauce, combine all of the ingredients and mix well.
  6. Remove patties from grill and top with yogurt sauce.
  7. Enjoy!
