Instead of having a tall glass of that sugary, concentrate orange juice in the morning, try making your own healthy smoothie version! This will leave you feeling full and satisfied, has no added sugar and literally takes minutes to prepare. It’s also dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan – can’t get any better than that 🙂Print Recipe
Makes 1 large smoothie (about 26 oz)
1 medium orange (or 2 mandarins)
1 small frozen banana
1 small carrot, peeled
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder (I use Plant Fusion)
1 tsp orange zest
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Few ice cubes (use more if you’re not using frozen fruit)
Few drops of liquid stevia (optional)
Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend on high until smooth.
Normally I would add a big handful of greens like spinach but I wanted to keep the orange colour. So don’t be shy; add a handful of greens too 🙂
