Prepping for the Joe Cross Weekend Juice Cleanse

joe cross weekend juice cleanseHi all! As I mentioned in a previous post I’ll be doing the Joe Cross Weekend Juice Cleanse (as seen on Dr. Oz) this weekend, January 11-13.  I wanted to go over some important things you should be doing a few days prior to the cleanse.  You will want to start flushing your body with fluids and really clean up your diet!

  • First thing in the morning, drink 2 cups of warm water with lemon
  • Eliminate all caffeine, sugar, red meat, dairy, alcohol and processed foods.  Focus on fruit, vegetables and lean protein (chicken, turkey, fish, beans)
  • Drink at least 8 glasses of water during the day
  • Before bed, drink 1 cup of hot herbal tea, like chamomile

You’ll also want to get your shopping list together.  Be prepared to spend around $100 per person for the 3 days.  It sounds like a lot but you will be juicing a ton of fruits and veggies!  And really try to buy all organic.  If your local grocery store does not carry all the items in their organic section, try looking into a local organic food delivery. If your area does not have one, do your best with what you can.  If the fruits and veggies are not organic make sure you clean them in a mixture of 3 parts water and 1 part vinegar. Let them soak for about 10 minutes, scrub, rinse clean and dry.

Here is the shopping list for one day, please remember to triple the items if you are shopping for all 3 days at once!

Shopping List – Weekend Cleanse

So, let’s take this week to eat clean, do some shopping, and prep!!  I’ve also created a Facebook Group for the cleanse. It’s a great way to keep in touch and see how everyone is doing. Click here to join the group!

I’ll also be using Cleanse for Life and the Natural Accelerator from Isagenix as a little boost!

If you don’t have a juicer you could try the Dr. Oz 3 Day Smoothie Cleanse. All you need is a blender! Click here for all the info.

Note: Before starting any cleanse, make sure to consult your physician, especially if you have a medical condition like diabetes. Also, don’t participate if you’re pregnant or nursing. Detoxes are also not a substitute for medical diagnoses or treatment.

Hello Writer, That is really good stuff to do cleansing at home and the PDF is really cool. But, the fact is that most home juicers aren’t that effective at extracting all of the juice. What do you think? Most blenders pulverizes the fruits and veggies, all whilst extracting a tiny tablespoon full of juice. 🙁 therefor I prefer purchasing a prepared juice cleanse, which is more cost effective than trying to do it myself. 😉 But the schedule you have written is really useful even if we buy online. I usually follow this Thanks again!
