Homemade Almond Milk ~ Video Blog

I decided to do a video blog for you guys on how to make almond milk.  I posted about it a few months back but I thought I’d SHOW you how easy it is to make at home! You don’t need a fancy blender (I used to just use a regular Kitchen Aid blender), it’s only 5 ingredients that I’m sure you already have in your cupboard and it is free of chemicals and additives.  So, take a look and see for yourself how quick and easy it is to make your very own almond milk!

I changed the recipe slightly from my last post…

Almond Milk

1 cup raw almonds, soaked overnight
4 cups filtered water
2 tsp vanilla extract (or one whole vanilla bean)
6-8 drops of liquid stevia (or 5-6 dates)
pinch of salt

Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend on high for 2 minutes. Strain the almond milk using a nut milk bag, cheese cloth or fine mesh strainer.  Pour into a glass container with a lid and refrigerate.  Stir before each use. This milk will last in the fridge for 5-7 days.

Feel free to experiment with other nuts such as cashews or Brazil nuts!
